Ian and Alison Turner offer a warm welcome to Centre de Vacances ”Plein Air et Joie”, a 
converted farmhouse in the department of the Haute Pyrenees, which is ideally placed for use 
as a base when touring the Pyrenees, or 
undertaking the many activities available locally.

Centre de Vacances “Plein Air et Joie”…
The centre is set in two acres of land and situated on the edge of a rural village in the Vallee D’Aure at an altitude of 600 metres. Lortet is 10 kilometres south of the market town of Lannemezan on the D929, the route to the Aragnouet - Bielsa tunnel and Spain.

Accommodation and facilities…
The centre can accommodate up to 50 people in dormitories of between 6 and 12 beds. We offer flexible catering 
arrangements, from bed only to full board. Self-catering is also offered, with exclusive use of the centre

The annual Tour de France cycle race takes place in July each year and 
always visits the Pyrenees. Often the riders face the tough climbs of the Pyrenees like the Col  D’Aspin, Col du Tourmalet and the Col de Peyresourde. See your Tour heroes in action, or for the very fit ride the cols of the Tour de France yourselves.

Our ski season program 
includes, where appropriate, transfer to our ski station of choice at St Lary. However, also within easy reach are the stations of Piau-Engaly, Peyragudes, Val Louron and Nistos. All ski stations are approximately 35 minutes drive away.

attractions within easy reach.

The major towns of Tarbes, Lourdes, Pau 
and Toulouse are all within one hours drive, as is Spain, and all worthy of a visit during your stay. For the more adventurous, then the 
Atlantic coast is less than two hours drive, the Mediterranean coast approximately 3 hours drive, and the principality of Andorra 
approximately 3 hours drive.
